Peter Zwierko has been working as producer, director of photography and director for more than 10 years. In 2016 he founded the production company Sulaco* Film, a member of the professional association GARP. Before that, between 2008 and 2016, Peter Zwierko had been working as producer with the Zurich based production company Mira Film. He collaborated with directors such as Andreas Hoessli, Edgar Hagen, Tobias Wyss, and Hercli Bundi and managed international co-productions. Peter Zwierko has received a M.A. degree in media and communication studies, journalism, and English literature from the University of Fribourg. Moreover, he is a graduate from “Eurodoc”, the European training program for creative documentary producers. As a board member of “Balimage” – the registered society for film and media art – he supports the film industry in Basel. Peter Zwierko was born in Warsaw and raised in Poland, Germany, and Switzerland.

*Sulaco is a fictitious harbour town in South America and the main location of Joseph Conrad’s epic novel “Nostromo”: During the turmoil of a revolution the incorruptible seaman Nostromo is assigned to hide the town’s silver reserve from the approaching revolutionaries. “Nostromo” is a complex, political novel with more than 10 characters, a poetic language and many leaps in time. This novel is considered as Conrad’s master piece besides “Heart of Darkness”.
